This Privacy Policy applies to personal information we collect when you use any Services, including but not limited to our website, mobile applications, and related services for pet owners and pet service providers (“Pet Service Providers”) to connect and arrange for pet care services (the “Trusty Service”), or when you otherwise interact with us.

We may also share and receive information with affiliates for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy. How Do We Disclose Your Information?
We may disclose personal information with your consent or as necessary to complete transactions or provide Services. We disclose information to:
- Pet Service Providers: Booking details shared with applicable providers.
- Public Information: User profiles or reviews may be publicly displayed if you choose.
- Service Providers: Vendors, consultants, and partners (e.g., customer support, security) access necessary information.
- Legal Matters, Compliance, and Law Enforcement: Information disclosed to comply with laws, regulations, or legal processes (e.g., to tax authorities, government agencies).
- Security, Safety, and Protecting Rights: Information shared to address policy violations, secure systems, or protect Trusty, employees, users, or the public.
- Corporate Transactions: Information disclosed during mergers, sales, or other transactions, as permitted by law.
- Affiliates: Information shared with affiliates under common control for operational purposes.
We may disclose de-identified information per applicable law. Social sharing features (e.g., Facebook “Like” button) may share data based on your settings with those entities. Third-party analytics/advertising providers may collect identifiers, geolocation, usage data, and inferences, as described in our Cookie Policy. Some disclosures may be considered a “sale” or “sharing” under California/U.S. state laws (see “Your Choices” and “California and U.S. State Privacy Rights”).
Information Security
Trusty implements reasonable measures to protect your information from loss, theft, misuse, unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. No transmission method over the Internet or mobile apps is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. We request strong passwords and advise against sharing or reusing passwords across sites.
Information Retention
We retain information as necessary to provide Services, fulfill transactions, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and meet other legitimate purposes. Retention periods vary based on user expectations, data sensitivity, automated deletion controls, and legal/contractual obligations.
Your Choices
You can control your personal information via our Privacy Management Center. Options include:
- Access, Portability, Correction, Deletion: Update or delete information via your account’s “Profile” or “Account Settings.” Submit requests via the “Rights” tab in our Privacy Management Center or contact us (see “Contact Us”).
- Location Information: Consent to location data collection is requested upon app launch. Opt out via device settings, but some features may not function.
- Emails: Opt out of marketing emails via “Notifications” in “Account Settings” or “Unsubscribe” links. Service-related emails may continue.
- Mobile Push Notifications/Alerts: Deactivate via device notification settings.
- Text Messages: Opt out via message prompts or “Notifications” settings. Pet Service Providers may need to receive service-related texts.
- Data Sales: Opt out via Privacy Management Center or Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser settings.
- Targeted Advertising: Opt out via Privacy Management Center, GPC, or third-party controls (e.g., NAI, DAA, EDAA).
- Browser/Platform Controls: Manage cookies, GPC, Do Not Track (DNT, not responded to), and mobile advertising IDs via device settings.
- Email Web Beacons: Prevent automatic image downloads in email clients to block web beacons.
California and U.S. State Privacy Rights & Notices (Do Not Sell or Share)
California (CCPA)
If subject to the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), you have rights including:
- Notice at Collection: Details on data categories, purposes, sharing, and retention are provided above.
- Right to Know: Request specific data, categories, sources, purposes, and third parties. Access via account or Privacy Management Center.
- Right to Request Correction or Deletion: Correct or delete data via account or Privacy Management Center, subject to exceptions.
- Right to Opt-Out of Sales/Sharing: Opt out via Privacy Management Center or GPC. We share identifiers, usage, device, and geolocation data with analytics/advertising providers and affiliates, which may be a “sale” or “sharing.”
- Sensitive Personal Information: We collect sensitive data only as necessary for Services. You may decline, but Services may be unavailable. We inform you of other uses and provide opt-out options.
- Right to Non-Discrimination: No discrimination for exercising CCPA rights.
- Shine the Light: We do not disclose data to non-affiliate third parties for direct marketing. Opt out of affiliate sharing via Privacy Management Center.
- Financial Incentives: We may offer incentives (e.g., discounts) for providing data (e.g., email sign-up). Participation is optional; opt out via provided instructions or “Your Choices.”
In the past 12 months, we disclosed all data categories to business partners, affiliates, and vendors for business purposes. Authorized agents may make requests with proof of authorization. We verify identity before processing requests. We do not knowingly collect/sell data of minors under 16.
All Other U.S. States
You may have similar rights (e.g., know, correct, delete, opt-out of sales/targeted advertising). We collect sensitive data only as necessary, with opt-in consent where required. Opt out via Privacy Management Center or GPC. We do not discriminate for exercising these rights.
Controller/Business Designation: We operate as a Controller and Business under U.S. state privacy laws.
Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in Services, data use, or applicable law. The “Last Updated” date will be revised, and material changes will include notice or consent as required. Review this policy regularly to stay informed.
